Why should your child have an eye examination?
Children often don’t know they are experiencing vision loss or dealing with an eye condition.
These undetected problems not only damage their visual development but affect their social life and education as well.
We aim to provide you with all the testing and care you need to keep your kids' eyes in good shape. At our independent practice, you can rely on a child-friendly and professional service for young patients of all ages.
Kid's eye tests
Undetected eye problems in early childhood can cause lifelong difficulties with eyesight. Regularly testing children's vision and screening for eye conditions is imperative to keeping their eyes healthy and their eyesight strong. We make sure our eye examinations are not only effective but comfortable for children of all ages and have special testing available for young children who can’t read yet.
Eye tests are also covered by the NHS for children under 16 and teens under 19 in full-time education so you can take care of your children’s eyes without any added financial strain.
Glasses for children
Getting a new pair of glasses can be exciting and scary, especially if it’s your first pair.
We do our best to make it easy for children to find frames they’re happy with that will give them exceptional vision and comfort.
Our range of kids' frames are made from quality, lightweight materials and designed for different age groups so they always fit well.
Myopia, more commonly known as nearsightedness, is a refractive error that affects the way light is focused in the eye, resulting in blurred vision when looking at distant objects. In children, this can have a significant impact on their eyesight and can even lead to long-term eyesight problems, such as retinal detachment and glaucoma.
At our optician, we provide comprehensive myopia management services to help reduce the progression of myopia in children and preserve their vision for years to come.
We are accredited to supply MiSight contact lenses and Stellest and Miyosmart spectacle lenses.
